FAQs Final Report

What is the Final Report? The Final Report is a summary of findings / recommendations of the Self-Study and the findings / recommendations of the external review team report. The NIC Self Study Story Outline indicates th focus of the Self-Study. The NIC External Review Report Details is the template provided to the External Review Team for completing their report and includes sections for commenting on teach of the sections of the Self-Study as well as one outlining the findings of the site visit and future recommendations for the area under review.
Who writes it? It is written by the program review team, with input from members of the department / program area under review.
At what point in the program review process is the Final Report written? The Final Report is written after the External Review site visit.
Who gets the Final Report? The report is available to anyone in the department / program area under review, and is submitted to the dean and also the Vice-President Academic.
What happens after? Based on the recommendations of the Final Report, the department / program area comes together to create an Action Plan to address the recommendations included in the report. The program lead is responsible for checking in at agreed points over the course of the following year, to report out on the progress of the items outlined in the Action Plan.
