Program Review @ NIC

Key Stakeholders

Program review is a faculty-led process involving many key stakeholders.
Faculty Members: are key contributors and drivers of the self-reflective process and are led internally through the process by the Program Lead (designated by the Dean to lead Program Review for the department).
Students: both current students and alumni, contribute feedback on their learning experiences and perceptions about value of programming/courses.
Dean: provides support, feedback, and oversight at the program level.
Administration: undertakes actions outlined in NIC Policy 3-11 and oversees the College’s program review processes, responsibility to the Quality Assurance Process Audit and ongoing program review and renewal.
External Review Team: a three-person team comprised of two peers external to NIC and one NIC peer from another department. The team provides objective feedback and offers recommendations.
Program Advisory Group includes: employers who hire graduates and /or support internships, practica or placements, and community members and agencies involved in supporting the program area, who provide objective feedback and offer recommendations.
Institutional Support Team includes: the Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation which facilitates the overall process and supports Program Leads and Faculty; and the Department of Institutional Research and Planning which provides data packages, support on survey development, data gathering and analysis.
