Phase 2 is the Data Gathering phase. Data is collected from data packages provided by the Department of Institutional Research and Planning, current students and alumni, faculty and community partners.
Data gathering is a important phase in program review as the data collected helps inform the writing of the Self-Study.
Points to consider:
- What kind of data do you want to collect? (check out the following site on identifying types of direct, indirect and supportive evidence for program assessment University of Toronto – Centre for Teaching Support and Innovation)
- What might be the best way to gather data and what/who might be the best sources? (e.g., surveys, focus groups, interviews)
